Matthew Klein

Matthew Klein is the Managing Partner at ACME Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm based in San Francisco, California, United States. Before his current role, he co-founded and led investments at First Round Capital and held positions at Battery Ventures following his graduation from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Science in Management Science and Engineering. At ACME Capital, Klein oversees a portfolio of more than 50 companies and manages over $300 million in assets, backing notable technology startups such as Cruise, Gusto, and Airtable. In 2024, he led the firm's Series B investment in the artificial intelligence platform Replicate, and he subsequently spoke on AI investment trends at TechCrunch Disrupt 2025. Klein currently focuses his investment strategy on seed and Series A technology startups operating across the enterprise software, artificial intelligence, and financial technology sectors.
