Matthew Lloyd-Thomas

Matthew Lloyd-Thomas is a Vice President at The Chernin Group based in New York City, where he oversees investments in the media, entertainment, and consumer technology sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University and began his professional career working in investment banking at Guggenheim Partners. Prior to joining his current firm, Lloyd-Thomas spent four years working as an investment professional at Providence Equity Partners from 2016 to 2020. Since his promotion to Vice President in 2022, he has contributed to a portfolio managing over $1 billion in assets, including direct involvement in an $80 million investment in Restream. His transaction experience also spans notable consumer and digital content companies such as Overtime and Tonal. Currently, his professional focus centers on bridging traditional media assets with new, emerging digital consumer technology opportunities.
