Matthew Ongaro

Matthew Ongaro is a Partner at Cottonwood Technology Fund, an early-stage venture capital firm, and is based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He was initially appointed as a Junior Partner at the investment firm in March 2021 to focus on backing emerging technology startups. Prior to his current venture capital role, Ongaro developed his core expertise in finance and investment management through analytical positions at a private family office and Carina Initiatives. He also gained direct operational and strategic experience working with Vital Audio Inc, a specialized health technology company, during its TS23 accelerator cohort period. Throughout his career, he has evaluated numerous early-stage business models across various technical sectors to determine their long-term commercial viability. Ongaro currently focuses on identifying and funding early-stage technology enterprises while leveraging his diverse background in private investment and startup operations.
