Max Webster

Max Webster is the founder of Hivemind Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in San Francisco, California. Prior to establishing his own fund, he served as an investor and associate at Version One Ventures, securing the position in January 2020 from a pool of approximately 500 applicants. His entrepreneurial background includes operating as a founding member of Bright, a Mexican residential solar company backed by Y Combinator and First Round Capital. Webster also founded the consultancy Entiende Bitcoin to accelerate cryptocurrency adoption across Latin America, working with regional clients such as Bitso. Additionally, he brings over 10 years of experience to his advisory work, notably serving as the lead author on a research paper for the Square Bitcoin Clean Energy Initiative. His current investment focus centers on the intersection of decentralized finance, blockchain technology, and renewable energy.
