Maya Bakhai

Maya Bakhai is a General Partner at Spice Capital based in London, United Kingdom, where she leads seed and Series A investments in early-stage technology startups. Before joining Spice Capital in 2024, she served as a Partner at Entrepreneur First, managing over $100 million in investments across deep technology and artificial intelligence sectors. Her earlier venture capital experience includes investment roles at Atomico and Balderton Capital, following her education at University College London. During her career, Bakhai has backed several notable companies, including leading a 2023 investment in the AI platform Synthesia and supporting the portfolio company Tractable prior to its acquisition by SoftBank. She also recently presented on investment trends at Web Summit 2025.
