Mayra Soto

Mayra Soto is a Senior Associate at Building Ventures based in San Francisco, where she focuses on early-stage construction technology and proptech investments. Before joining the $100 million venture capital fund in 2022, she served as Product Strategy Lead at Stanley Black & Decker. Previously, Soto was the Head of Product at HoloBuilder, joining the pre-seed startup in 2016 and helping scale the platform until its acquisition by Faro Technologies in 2021. She began her career as a civil engineer and project manager in Peru after earning her bachelor's degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and later completing an MBA at Hult International Business School. In addition to mentoring technology founders through Techstars, Soto leverages her hands-on engineering background to identify startups optimizing the design, construction, and operation phases of the built environment.
