Medha Kothari

Medha Kothari is a Partner at Variant Fund based in New York City, where she focuses on early-stage investments across web3, artificial intelligence, and decentralized infrastructure. Before joining Variant in 2023 to work alongside founder Jesse Walden, she served as an investor and operations specialist at Initialized Capital, and previously held product management roles at Coinbase. Her venture capital portfolio includes prominent blockchain and consumer technology companies such as Farcaster, Blast, Symbiotic, EigenLayer, and the Berachain network. In the second quarter of 2025, Kothari co-led Variant's participation in a $100 million funding round for a web3 gaming protocol and recently presented on AI-blockchain convergence at the international Devcon 7 conference. A graduate of Stanford University with over 10,000 professional followers, Kothari currently focuses on capitalizing early-stage technology startups building transformative consumer internet and decentralized finance platforms.
