Mehrad Yaghmai

Mehrad Yaghmai is the Founding and Managing Partner at Cool Climate Collective, an early-stage climate tech investment firm he co-founded with Tristan Pollock in 2021. Previously, he spent over a decade managing advanced manufacturing projects in Dubai and built and exited multiple ventures in the e-commerce and education technology sectors, including co-founding the startup Qureos. Yaghmai also served as the Program Director for Terra.do’s "Climate Change for VCs" program, where he guided more than 40 investors, and contributed to the Dubai Future Accelerators. Through his current firm, he directs early-stage capital toward startups addressing food security, new energy generation, and methane reduction, backing portfolio companies like Alga Biosciences, AKUA, and Moneytree Power. His career integrates his extensive operational background with a dedicated focus on scaling systems-driven technological solutions to global climate change.
