Mia Hu

Mia Hu is an Investment Director at the Boehringer Ingelheim Venture Fund based in Hong Kong, China. Before joining the firm as an Investment Associate in 2021, she served as a Senior Vice President at China Resources Capital Management. In her current capacity, she drives therapeutic investments across Asia for a corporate venture fund that manages 39 active portfolio companies and has completed 51 direct investments, including 10 acquisitions. Hu actively guides biotechnology startups and currently holds board seats at gene therapy developer Nuevocor, following its November 2022 funding round, as well as Synthetica. Additionally, she is involved with regional initiatives like the HKSTP X BIVF Co-incubation Program to foster local biotech development. Equipped with a PhD, she currently focuses on advancing healthcare innovation by targeting emerging RNA therapies and therapeutic incubation programs throughout the Asian market.
