Michael A. Rogawski

Michael A. Rogawski is a Venture Partner at Catalio Capital Management and a professor at the University of California, Davis, based in Davis, California. He earned his MD and PhD degrees from Yale University before completing his residency and fellowship training at Johns Hopkins Medicine. As an entrepreneur in the neurological therapeutics sector, he co-founded three biotechnology companies, including the publicly traded entities Marinus Pharmaceuticals and Sage Therapeutics. Rogawski has also served on the scientific advisory boards for numerous pharmaceutical firms, such as Xenon Pharmaceuticals, GW Pharmaceuticals, and Zogenix. His scientific contributions to the field have been recognized with four major honors, including the 1993 NIH Director’s Award and a 2019 Innovator of the Year Award. His current professional focus remains centered on advancing drug discovery and clinical development for epilepsy and headache disorders.
