Michael Baum

Michael Baum is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of FOUNDER.org, an investment fund and startup accelerator based in San Francisco, California. Prior to establishing his current firm in 2012, he served as the founding Chief Executive Officer of Splunk, guiding the big data analytics company from its inception in 2003 through its early growth phases before its eventual initial public offering. Throughout his career as a serial entrepreneur, Baum has founded six technology startups, resulting in five acquisitions by major corporations including Yahoo! and Walt Disney. He previously operated as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Mohr Davidow Ventures and holds a degree from Drexel University alongside an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. His current focus centers on providing early-stage capital and company-building curriculum to student entrepreneurs across global markets.
