Michael Bühlmann

Michael Bühlmann is a Managing Partner at IDC Ventures based in Copenhagen, Denmark, with additional professional ties to Guatemala City. In this capacity, he focuses on seeding and driving growth in early-stage companies from the Seed to Series B stages, typically writing checks ranging from $100,000 to $5 million with a $1.5 million sweet spot. He also helped launch VC4 FoF I, a €150 million fund of funds designed to back emerging managers and startups across the United States, the United Kingdom, and Latin America. Prior to his venture capital career, Bühlmann gained extensive experience in business strategy, change management, and management consulting through positions at the PVBLIC Foundation, Maj Invest, and the digital bank Lunar. His current investment focus spans diverse sectors including financial technology, software-as-a-service, and property technology across multiple international markets.
