Michael Hayes

Michael Hayes is a Venture Partner at The Yield Lab LATAM, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In this capacity, he specializes in AgriFoodTech investments across Latin America, operating within the broader global network of The Yield Lab. Working alongside Managing Director Tomás Peña and Franco Pierini, Hayes evaluates and funds startups addressing regional food and agriculture challenges from farm to fork. The Yield Lab LATAM has built a portfolio of 17 companies distributed across five countries, and Hayes has been directly involved in leading at least six of these investment rounds. He actively contributes to the ecosystem by connecting early-stage startups with prominent investors and key industry stakeholders. Hayes currently focuses on deploying institutional capital into emerging agribusiness technologies to scale agricultural innovations throughout the Latin American market.
