Michael Lackey

Michael Lackey is the Managing Partner at Zero Prime Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in San Francisco, California. Since joining the firm in 2021, he has invested in more than 20 companies across the enterprise software, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and fintech sectors, including leading a recent investment in an AI security startup in the first quarter of 2024. Prior to his current role, Lackey served as a General Partner at New Enterprise Associates and held operational positions at Tellme Networks, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2007. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Harvard University and frequently speaks at major industry events, such as TechCrunch Disrupt 2025.
