Michael Madden

Michael Madden is the Managing Partner at The Yard Ventures, a Harvard alumni-focused fund within Alumni Ventures, based in the Boston area. He co-founded Alumni Ventures in February 2016 and has since built diversified venture capital portfolios by directing investments into over 120 companies. His investment track record features notable financial transactions with venture-backed consumer and technology startups, including SimpliSafe, Getaround, and JUMP. Prior to his current executive work, Madden served as a Managing Director at Square 1, where he led the firm's New England expansion, and held investor roles at Polaris Venture Partners and Summit Partners. He holds an AB from Harvard University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
