Michael Mauze

Michael Mauzé is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of VMG Partners, a growth equity firm based in San Francisco, California. Before establishing the firm in 2005, he served as a Managing Director at TSG Consumer Partners and worked as an investment banker at Lehman Brothers, advising retail companies. Under his leadership alongside co-lead Robin Tsai, VMG Partners manages approximately $2 billion in assets, has executed over 60 investments, has delivered a 45% internal rate of return, and recently closed a $1 billion consumer fund. Mauzé has held board director positions at several prominent consumer brands, including Spindrift, Stone Brewing, KIND, and Justin's. His current investment strategy focuses on seed to Series B consumer and technology companies, deploying capital between $100,000 and $5 million into the food, beverage, personal care, wellness, marketplaces, and software sectors.
