Michael Nicklas

Michael Nicklas is the Managing Partner at Valor Capital Group, operating between Rio de Janeiro and New York. With over 20 years of experience in the technology sector, he previously led corporate digital initiatives as an executive at Viacom and Univision before transitioning into venture capital. Prior to his current investment role, Nicklas served as Managing Director at Ideiasnet, SA, and founded the New York-based startups The Gryphon Group and Thirst. At Valor Capital Group, he directs cross-border investments across the United States and Latin America, backing prominent cryptocurrency and financial technology companies including Coinbase, Circle, and Bitso. Holding a Bachelor of Arts from American University and having served as a Fulbright Fellow at the University of Coimbra, his current focus remains on scaling early-stage internet and fintech startups across Brazilian and global markets.
