Michael Pachos

Michael Pachos is the Head of East Coast and Managing Director at Samsung Ventures America, based in Boston, Massachusetts. He assumed this leadership role in September 2019 after initially joining the firm in 2008 as a Principal, where he worked across the Seoul headquarters and Silicon Valley offices. Before transitioning to venture capital, he worked within the Samsung Group's Global Strategy Group focusing on mergers and acquisitions, and he previously served as a CPU architect at Intel, Compaq, and DEC. Additionally, he co-founded the enterprise security hardware company Global Velocity and earned an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the Wharton School between 2006 and 2008. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis in 2001, his career has centered on technology investments, corporate strategy, and hardware engineering.
