Michal Preminger is an independent healthcare innovation executive based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, having recently stepped down as Head of Johnson & Johnson Innovation for East North America in April 2025. During her seven-year tenure, she directed the region's external research portfolio, overseeing early-stage investments, collaborations, and licensing across the pharmaceutical, consumer health, and medical device sectors. Previously, she spent 13 years as Executive Director of Harvard University’s Office of Technology Development at Harvard Medical School, managing technology commercialization and startup formation. She holds a PhD from the Weizmann Institute of Science, previously held senior leadership roles at the publicly traded genomics company Compugen, and serves on the board of directors for MassBio. Preminger currently focuses on independent life sciences projects, leveraging her extensive background in bridging academic research, early-stage biotechnology startups, and corporate pharmaceutical development.
