Mike Bignold

Mike Bignold is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of CostCertified, a SaaS-enabled marketplace for residential construction estimates based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Prior to dedicating himself full-time to the software platform in 2017, he operated his own contracting business and earned a business management degree from the University of British Columbia Okanagan. Bignold scaled the Y Combinator-backed startup to a 65-person team, achieving $72 million in annualized gross merchandise value and 2,203% year-over-year growth by the end of 2021. The enterprise, which also operates under the brand name Bolster, subsequently secured an $8.45 million seed funding round led by venture capital firm FUSE in October 2021. His current focus centers on leveraging his combined expertise in coding and contracting to provide interactive estimating and project management tools for the residential construction industry.
