Michael Jarmuz

Michael Jarmuz is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Lightning Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in New York City. Prior to his current role, he built a diverse entrepreneurial career spanning the music industry, bar operations, and real estate, eventually completing personal angel investments in more than 1,500 early-stage startups and participating in two separate nine-figure healthcare acquisitions. At Lightning Ventures, Jarmuz manages the Node 2 Fund and exclusively targets Bitcoin-native companies across infrastructure, payment solutions, and financial services, backing prominent ecosystem entities such as Fold and Swan. He also serves as a strategic advisor to Azteco and Cloaked Wireless, while co-organizing the annual Unconfiscatable Conference. His current focus centers on democratizing early-stage venture capital through regulated crowdfunding initiatives like Thunder Funder, providing retail investors direct access to emerging Bitcoin technologies.
