Mike Pellini

Mike Pellini is a Managing Partner at the venture capital firm Section 32, based in Southern California. Before joining the investment firm, he served as the CEO of Foundation Medicine from 2011 to 2017 and remained Chairman until the molecular diagnostics company was acquired by Roche in August 2018. He currently holds board director positions at several publicly traded and private biotechnology organizations, including Singular Genomics and Tango Therapeutics. Pellini previously served on the board of Thrive Earlier Detection prior to its acquisition by Exact Sciences in 2021, and he holds an MD from Jefferson Medical College alongside an MBA from the Drexel University LeBow College of Business. His professional career spans over two decades of executive leadership and venture capital investment, with a primary focus on advancing personalized medicine, clinical diagnostics, genomics, and targeted cancer therapeutics.
