Mike Scanlin

Mike Scanlin is the Chief Executive Officer of Born To Sell, a financial software company based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Before founding the covered call platform in 2009, he spent seven years as a General Partner at Battery Ventures, managing early-stage technology investments and serving on more than ten corporate boards. His earlier operational experience includes engineering and leadership roles at Silicon Valley firms, working as a software engineer at General Magic and WebTV Networks before its acquisition by Microsoft. Scanlin also served as the Vice President of Engineering at Tumbleweed Communications, and he earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His career bridges technical software development and venture capital, culminating in his current focus on building specialized financial technology tools for retail investors.
