Mike Schroepfer

Mike Schroepfer is the Founding Partner of Gigascale Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm launched in 2023 that invests in deep-tech climate solutions. Prior to this role, he spent more than fourteen years at Meta, serving as Chief Technology Officer from 2013 to 2022 after initially joining as Vice President of Engineering in 2008. During his executive tenure, he scaled the engineering organization from 150 to 35,000 employees, established the company's internal AI Research Lab, and directed the technical integration of Oculus. His earlier professional background includes leading engineering operations at Mozilla and founding a venture-backed enterprise software startup, following his completion of bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science at Stanford University. Schroepfer now leverages his extensive infrastructure scaling experience to fund and support founders developing low-carbon alternatives to address the global climate crisis.
