Mike Tsao

Mike Tsao is the Managing Member at BEE Partners, an early-stage venture capital firm based in San Francisco, California. At the firm, which manages over $500 million in total assets, he directs investments across enterprise software, fintech, and marketplaces, recently leading 2024 funding rounds for Attentive and Equip. His active investment portfolio encompasses more than 20 early-stage technology companies and includes notable exits such as the 2021 initial public offering of Blend. Before assuming his current role, Tsao served as an Associate at Battery Ventures and practiced startup law as an attorney at Gunderson Dettmer. He holds a Juris Doctor from the UCLA School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College. Tsao leverages his dual expertise in venture deals and corporate governance to support early-stage technology founders scaling complex business-to-business software platforms.
