Mike Volpi

Mike Volpi is a General Partner at Hanabi Capital based in San Francisco, California. Prior to his current role, he served as a Partner at Index Ventures starting in 2009, where he established the firm's San Francisco office and led investments resulting in nine successful initial public offerings, including Confluent, Elastic, and Slack. Before entering venture capital, he spent over a decade at Cisco as Chief Strategy Officer and Senior Vice President of the routing business, managing a $10 billion P&L and overseeing more than 70 acquisitions. He holds a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Master of Business Administration from Stanford University, and he currently sits on the boards of Ferrari, Scale AI, and Wealthfront. His current focus centers on scaling early-stage companies across artificial intelligence, enterprise software, open-source infrastructure, and autonomous driving.
