Mira Chaurushiya

Mira Chaurushiya is a Managing Director at Westlake Village BioPartners based in the Los Angeles area, where she leads investments in early-stage life sciences companies. Before joining the firm as a Senior Partner in January 2022, she spent over six years operating as a Partner at 5AM Ventures. Chaurushiya has held board director roles at numerous biotechnology startups, including Enliven Therapeutics, Escient Pharmaceuticals, and Precision Nanosystems, guiding several through acquisitions by larger entities like Danaher and Incyte. Her scientific background includes a postdoctoral fellowship in cancer biology at Genentech, a doctorate in biological sciences from the UC San Diego Salk Institute, and a bachelor's degree in biology from Carleton College.
