Mitch Lasky is a Partner at Benchmark and co-owner of the Major League Soccer club LAFC, based in Silicon Valley, California. Before joining the venture capital firm, he held executive leadership roles across the entertainment and gaming sectors, including running studios for Activision and leading mobile and online gaming divisions at Electronic Arts. He also worked at the Walt Disney Company and founded the first mobile gaming startup in the United States to achieve a public market debut. As an investor, Lasky has directed early-stage capital into prominent technology enterprises, securing foundational stakes in three major companies: Riot Games, Snapchat, and Discord. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law, and his current focus remains on identifying early-stage opportunities within the gaming and mobile application sectors.
