Moritz Belling is a Principal at Earlybird Venture Capital based in Berlin, Germany, where he focuses on early-stage European technology investments ranging from the pre-seed to Series A stages. Since joining the pan-European venture capital firm in 2021, he has represented the fund across the Nordic region and utilized its proprietary AI-powered EagleEye platform for data-driven deal sourcing. His active investment portfolio includes emerging technology startups such as Marvel Fusion, SimScale, Terralayr, Kerith, Ripe, and Remberg. Prior to entering the venture capital industry, Belling worked as a strategy consultant at Boston Consulting Group, advising entrepreneurs and small-to-medium enterprises on corporate strategy and market disruption topics. He currently concentrates his primary investment efforts on backing founders who are addressing complex technical challenges within the European energy technology, B2B software, and deep tech sectors.
