Naeem Talib is the Founder of Moonvalley, an artificial intelligence startup developing foundational video models, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Before establishing his current company, he worked as an AI engineer at Databricks, where he specialized in machine learning infrastructure and large-scale model training. At Moonvalley, Talib leads a team of more than twenty researchers formerly affiliated with DeepMind and Google to build generative video technology for the film and media industries. Under his leadership, the company launched its flagship video model in March 2025, secured a major streaming service partnership, and closed a $50 million Series A funding round led by a16z in February 2026, bringing total funding to $73 million. His current professional focus centers on advancing generative artificial intelligence to transform cinematic content production and scale enterprise media applications.
