Naren Gupta

Naren Gupta was the Menlo Park, California based co-founder and Managing Director of Nexus Venture Partners until his passing in December 2021. Before establishing the global venture capital firm in 2006, he co-founded Integrated Systems Inc. in 1980, serving as its Chief Executive Officer until 1994 and successfully taking the software company public in 1990. At Nexus Venture Partners, Gupta helped manage over $2 billion in assets under management and directed early stage investments across a portfolio of more than 200 technology startups. His extensive investment portfolio and corporate board directorships included prominent technology and SaaS companies such as Postman and PubMatic. An alumnus and senior Board of Trustees member at the California Institute of Technology, Gupta's professional legacy primarily centered on pioneering international venture capital and mentoring enterprise software founders operating in the United States and India.
