Nicholas Ellenoff

Nicholas Ellenoff is the Managing Partner at Ellenoff Capital, based in New York City, where he invests in pre-seed to Series A technology startups across North America. Before establishing his current firm, he served as a Principal at Lerer Hippeau Ventures from 2019 to 2022 and held earlier roles at Primary Venture Partners and in investment banking at J.P. Morgan. The University of Pennsylvania economics graduate has built a portfolio of more than 20 early-stage investments, including a notable exit via an acquisition by Salesforce in 2023. Recently, he led a $3 million seed funding round for the artificial intelligence startup Nexlify in March 2025 and frequently contributes venture capital commentary to publications like Forbes. Ellenoff currently focuses on bridging traditional finance with emerging technology opportunities by backing founders in the software, artificial intelligence, consumer internet, and fintech sectors.
