Nicholas Rudder

Nicholas Rudder is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Sphere, a global tax compliance software platform based in San Francisco, California. Before establishing his current venture, he gained extensive corporate finance and accounting experience working in traditional financial services at Macquarie Bank and PwC. In 2021, he originally launched ScholarSite, an educational technology marketplace startup, which he subsequently pivoted to create the foundation for his current compliance-focused enterprise. Under his leadership, Sphere recently secured a $21 million Series A funding round led by venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz to scale its global operations. The platform currently manages complex cross-border regulatory requirements for high-growth artificial intelligence startups, including ElevenLabs, Codeium, Runway AI, and Replit. Rudder maintains a primary focus on building automated software solutions to streamline international tax compliance for rapidly expanding technology companies.
