Nick Ellis

Nick Ellis is a Principal at Amazon's Climate Pledge Fund, a $2 billion corporate venture capital vehicle focused on scaling early-stage decarbonization technologies. He previously managed portfolio operations and strategic corporate relationships for Amazon's $1 billion Industrial Innovation Fund. Earlier in his career, Ellis advised high-value startup customers and chief executive officers for Amazon Web Services across prominent accelerator programs, including Y Combinator, Stanford StartX, and Alchemist Accelerator. In his current capacity, he oversees capital deployments across eight verticals and more than a dozen countries, supporting a portfolio of 28 companies that includes electric vehicle manufacturer Rivian and recent $15 million Series A additions Moment Energy and Hoofprint Biome. His ongoing investment focus centers on advancing sustainable hardware and software solutions across transportation, energy, and manufacturing to help achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2040.
