Nick Grouf is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of Alpha Edison, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Los Angeles, California. Before launching the firm in 2016, he co-founded several technology companies that achieved significant exits, including Firefly Network, which was acquired by Microsoft in 1999, and PeoplePC, which completed an initial public offering. He also co-founded Pluto TV, which Viacom acquired in 2019, and established the Clementine Capital incubator in 2011. At Alpha Edison, Grouf oversees a diverse portfolio backed by a $300 million primary fund and a $30 million side fund. He began his financial career at Goldman Sachs after earning an undergraduate degree from Yale University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. His current investment focus centers on early-stage consumer and business-to-business technology startups operating across digital health, retail, and real estate.
