Nick Hirche

Nick Hirche is the Co-Founder and Lead UX/UI Designer at Tiptap, an open-source document editor platform based in Berlin, Germany. With over a decade of experience in the digital product industry, he established the venture-backed startup in 2022 alongside five partners, including co-CEOs Philip Isik and Sebastian Schrama. Prior to launching the company, the founding team worked together in digital consultancy, where they identified significant challenges in building custom editor interfaces. Under his design leadership, the organization has grown to employ up to 50 people and secured $3.0 million across a single funding round. The platform integrates technologies like ProseMirror and the Yjs library to provide enterprise-grade collaboration tools, cloud services, and artificial intelligence features for developers. Hirche currently focuses on translating complex technical requirements into intuitive user interfaces for collaborative software-as-a-service and platform-as-a-service applications.
