Nick Naclerio

Nick Naclerio is the Founding Partner at Illumina Ventures, an early stage venture capital firm focused on genomics and precision health. Before launching the fund in 2016, he spent six years as Senior Vice President of Corporate and Venture Development at Illumina. There he completed ten acquisitions and over a dozen venture investments, including the formation of GRAIL and Helix. His entrepreneurial background features co-founding Quanterix and serving as its Executive Chairman, alongside chief executive roles at ParAllele BioScience and True Materials before their acquisitions by Affymetrix. Earlier, Naclerio held leadership positions at DARPA and founded Motorola Life Sciences before it was acquired by GE. Drawing on over two decades of experience and a doctorate from the University of Maryland, he manages a portfolio of 25 companies with over 500 million dollars invested.
