Nick Wijnberg

Nick Wijnberg is the Managing Partner and co-founder of Lorimer Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Under his leadership, the firm manages over $100 million in total assets and recently closed its oversubscribed $85 million Fund III in March 2025. Wijnberg oversees an active portfolio of more than twenty companies, including notable seed investments such as the artificial intelligence unicorn Cohere and Verdant Robotics. Before establishing Lorimer Ventures, he served as a Principal at Golden Ventures from 2019 to 2022 and held earlier operational leadership roles at Wattpad. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance from the University of Waterloo in 2015. His current investment focus centers on backing early-stage North American technology startups operating across the software-as-a-service, financial technology, artificial intelligence, developer tools, and climate technology sectors.
