Nico Waisman is a cybersecurity executive and the former Vice President of the GitHub Security Lab, currently based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Prior to his tenure at the Microsoft-owned platform, he served as a Principal Security Engineer at Semmle, a software code analysis platform that GitHub acquired in 2019 to bolster its enterprise security offerings. Waisman previously spent more than 13 years at Immunity Inc., an offensive security firm, where he advanced to the role of Vice President and specialized in exploit development and advanced vulnerability research. During his extensive career, he has identified hundreds of critical software vulnerabilities and managed global teams of security researchers dedicated to protecting major open-source ecosystems.
