Nicolas Sauvage

Nicolas Sauvage is the President of TDK Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of TDK Corporation, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Appointed to this executive role in 2021, he currently oversees a $500 million investment portfolio comprising more than 50 companies focused on deep tech, artificial intelligence, robotics, and energy storage. His recent transaction activity includes leading a $100 million financing round for Atlantic Quantum in late 2024, alongside backing notable hardware and sustainability startups such as PsiQuantum, IonQ, and Sila Nanotechnologies. Before joining TDK, Sauvage served as a Managing Director at Rakuten Ventures from 2016 to 2021 and held earlier investment banking positions at Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers. Holding an MBA from INSEAD, his professional focus remains firmly centered on bridging global financial markets with transformative semiconductor and sustainability innovations.
