Nicole Chen

Nicole Chen is a Principal and Chief of Staff at Optum Ventures in Boston, Massachusetts, where she leads strategic development and investment portfolio management. In this capacity, she helps direct investment strategies for a healthcare technology fund that manages more than 65 portfolio companies and over $2 billion in assets under management. Before joining Optum Ventures, Chen worked in health and group benefits consulting at Willis Towers Watson, advising corporate employers on benefit plan pricing and employee health management. She also evaluated digital health care delivery models at Boston Children's Hospital's Innovation and Digital Health Accelerator while completing her Master of Business Administration at Duke University. Holding an undergraduate degree in applied mathematics and economics from Brown University, Chen currently focuses on advancing digital health innovation and optimizing healthcare delivery systems through strategic venture capital investments.
