Nicole Shimer

Nicole Shimer is a Principal at Insight Partners, where she focuses on enterprise software-as-a-service investments across a range of industry verticals. Since joining the venture capital and private equity firm as an Analyst in 2016, she has progressed through Vice President and Senior Associate roles, deploying more than $1 billion in investment capital. Her investment portfolio includes enterprise technology companies such as OneTrust, Sylvera, Apprentice, Inspectorio, and TaxJar, which was subsequently acquired by Stripe. An alumna of Brown University with a technical background, she has received industry recognition including placements on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in November 2022, Venture Forward's LGBTQ+ Investors to Watch, and the Venture Capital Journal's Rising Stars list in 2024. Shimer currently concentrates her efforts on identifying and executing investments in high-growth enterprise SaaS platforms for the firm.
