Niklas Zennström is the Founding Partner and CEO of Atomico, a venture capital firm based in London, UK. Before launching the firm in 2006, he co-founded several pioneering internet companies alongside Janus Friis, most notably Skype, which they sold to eBay for $3.1 billion in 2005. His earlier entrepreneurial ventures include co-founding the peer-to-peer file-sharing application Kazaa, as well as Joltid, Joost, and the music streaming service Rdio. Zennström began his professional career in the telecommunications sector with executive roles at Tele2 and get2net, following his studies in management and computer science at Uppsala University and the University of Michigan. Today, his primary focus remains on scaling transformative European technology startups, directing investments into a portfolio of over 40 companies across three continents while serving as a board member for H&M since 2014.
