Nino Marakovic

Nino Marakovic is the CEO and Partner at Sapphire Ventures, operating from the firm's office in Austin, Texas. He initially joined the organization's predecessor, SAP Ventures, in 2006 and subsequently directed its independent spin-out in 2011 before officially rebranding the entity in 2014. Prior to his 25-year career in venture capital, which includes serving as a Partner at Draper Fisher Jurvetson, he worked in investment banking at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs. Throughout his investment tenure, Marakovic has backed more than 100 private companies and venture funds, contributing to nearly 40 exits involving prominent technology firms such as LinkedIn and Monday.com. He holds a bachelor's degree from Williams College and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. His current investment strategy primarily centers on scaling enterprise technology, artificial intelligence, and B2B software companies.
