Ollen Douglass is the Managing Director of Motley Fool Ventures in the Washington area, where he built the investment firm's inaugural venture capital fund. He ultimately oversaw and later left a $250 million fund focused on private company investments, having previously managed the pilot program Motley Venture Partners. Prior to his transition into venture capital, Douglass spent 14 years as the Chief Financial Officer of The Motley Fool Holdings, Inc., directing the company's finance, legal, and sales operations. His earlier career includes roles in mortgage banking risk management and as an auditor at KPMG, supported by a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Baltimore. A recognized leader in the 2019 Greater Washington Minority Business Leaders class, he currently serves on the boards of directors for Eyrus, InHerSight, and Young Artists of America.
