Ollie Howie

Ollie Howie is the Managing Director and Founder of Newtype Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to establishing his own fund, he served as an investor at SoftBank Group, where he helped deploy capital from the $100 million SoftBank Opportunity Fund to support historically underrepresented founders. His earlier venture capital experience includes a tenure as an Investment Professional at BIP Capital, where he focused on sourcing and executing deals across the B2B software and healthcare technology sectors. Howie earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Harvard University, providing a rigorous quantitative foundation for his career in financial services and institutional technology investing. He currently focuses on leading pre-seed and seed-stage investments across diverse technology verticals while actively working to expand access to venture capital for emerging entrepreneurial ecosystems.
