Omar Mencin

Omar Mencin is the Managing Director of the Investment Group at Ben Franklin Technology Partners, based in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Since joining the organization in June 2012, he has overseen capital allocation and portfolio management for seed-stage technology startup companies across the region. The firm operates in alignment with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, contributing to a historical deployment of over $175 million across more than 1,750 regional enterprises over the past thirty years. Prior to his current institutional investing role, Mencin worked as an entrepreneur, served as the founder and chief executive officer of multiple business accelerators, and acted as a senior corporate finance advisor with The Triana Group. Holding a Doctorate of Business Administration, his professional background centers on venture capital, private equity, and the strategic expansion of early-stage technology ventures.
