Omar Soliman is a Partner in the Capital Markets Group at Cassels, where he specializes in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and corporate finance. He advises domestic and cross-border management teams, boards, and investors on complex transactions, representing both issuers and investment banks during initial public offerings, secondary offerings, private placements, and debt financing. Prior to this role, Soliman practiced within the business law group at another leading national law firm and served as a member of the Fintech Advisory Committee for the Ontario Securities Commission. His legal practice spans multiple industries, with a particular emphasis on executing transactions within the technology, healthcare, mining, and cannabis sectors. As a corporate lawyer, Soliman currently focuses on guiding mid-market businesses, independent sponsors, and private equity firms through the complete search fund lifecycle, from initial capital raises and acquisitions to final exits.
