Omi Velasco

Omi Velasco is a Principal at Graphite Ventures based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. In this role, she focuses on sourcing Seed and Series A investments across B2B SaaS, FinTech, proptech, and digital health for the firm, which has backed over 200 companies in the past decade. Previously, Velasco co-founded the family office Aventrock Ventures in 2019, building a portfolio that includes Symend, Circle Cardiovascular, and Beatdapp. Her operating experience includes serving as Chief Operating Officer at PirPos until its acquisition by Loggro in 2022, as well as providing technology strategy consulting for SAP implementations at Deloitte. She also co-founded Sandpearl Spa, which was sold in 2016, and serves as the executive director for the Venture Capital Association of Alberta. Velasco leverages her combined entrepreneurial and operational background to identify early-stage technology ventures throughout Western Canada.
