Omri Casspi

Omri Casspi is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Sheva VC, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Tel Aviv, Israel. He launched the $50 million investment fund in 2022 alongside veteran investor David Citron to back pre-seed and seed-stage technology startups across the fintech, cybersecurity, and web3 sectors. Prior to entering the venture capital industry, Casspi spent over a decade as a professional basketball player in the NBA, making history in 2009 as the first Israeli athlete to play in the league. During his athletic career, he appeared in nearly 600 regular-season games and played for several prominent franchises, including the Sacramento Kings, the Houston Rockets, and the Golden State Warriors. Today, he leverages his extensive global network and athletic discipline to support emerging Israeli founders navigating the highly competitive global technology and software markets.
